Terms & Conditions

The legal bit

These terms apply to prints bought through this site. Please read them before ordering. By placing an order you agree to them.

Who we are

This site is operated by FNG Studio LTD, trading as fingacode. You can contact us at help@fingacode.com.

The artwork

Each piece on this site is a generative artwork: a program that produces a different result every time it runs. Before ordering you can generate as many versions as you like, and the version on screen when you check out is the one that is printed.

Because each run is seeded randomly, your version is effectively one of a kind. We record the seed that produced it against your order. We will not reproduce or sell your specific version as a separate print, but the underlying artwork remains available for others to generate their own versions from.

Intellectual property

Copyright in the artwork, the generating code and everything else on this site remains with FNG Studio LTD. Buying a print gives you ownership of that physical print for personal use. It does not transfer copyright or grant any right to reproduce, resell, license or commercially exploit the artwork, including as digital files, merchandise or NFTs.

Orders and pricing

Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Delivery is priced separately and shown at checkout before payment.

Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we confirm your order by email. If we cannot fulfil an order, for example because of a production problem or an obvious pricing error, we will tell you and refund you in full.

Payment

Payments are handled by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details. Card payments, Klarna and Clearpay are available at checkout.

Production and delivery

Prints are produced and shipped by our print partner. Production and delivery timings, weekend and holiday handling, and busy-period allowances are set out on our Returns & Delivery page, which forms part of these terms.

Colour and finish

Giclée printed on textured archival fine art paper, using pigment inks rated to last well over a hundred years without fading. Everything is rendered at full print resolution from your own generation, and printed by a Fine Art Trade Guild approved printer. Screens vary, and a textured paper renders colour differently from a backlit display, so slight variation between the on-screen preview and the printed piece is normal and is not a defect.

Mailing list

You can join our mailing list to hear about new work. It is entirely optional, and buying a print does not add you to it. We use it only to tell you about new releases, and every email includes an unsubscribe link. How your address is handled is set out in our Privacy Policy.

Returns

Prints are made to order, so all sales are final except where a print arrives damaged or defective. Full detail is on our Returns & Delivery page.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

Subject to that, our liability in connection with an order is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes fall to the courts of England and Wales.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it.
